Persons Authorised to use the mark
1. The Guild of Jewellery Designers trademark and/or logo will be available for use by all members.
2. Individuals utilising Guild of Jewellery Designers products or services but who are not in membership are not authorised to display the logo or use the mark.
Conditions of Membership of the Guild of Jewellery Designers
1. These conditions apply to any individual or business owner requesting membership and apply to those who remain in membership:
a. Membership of The Guild of Jewellery Designers is open to individuals over 18 years of age actively engaged in the making or supply of jewellery or jewellery related products or services at an interest, professional or semi professional level.
Sanctions Against Misuse of the Mark
a. Individuals and/or companies will be deemed to be misrepresentating themselves if they use the Guild of Jewellery Designers trademark and/or logo if they do not maintain their full membership. The Guild of Jewellery Designers will exercise their rights as holders of the trademark and pursue those who fall into this category.
b. The Guild of Jewellery Designers also withholds the right to remove the use of the trademark and/or logo from those individuals or companies who have been proven to mislead the public, demonstrate professional misconduct or to have brought the profession into disrepute, following a formal Guild of Jewellery Designers disciplinary process.
c. Misuse of the mark will result in the immediate cancellation of membership of The Guild of Jewellery Designers.
d. Members shall indemnify The Guild of Jewellery Designers against all liabilities, costs, expenses, damages and losses (including but not limited to any direct, indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of reputation and all interest, penalties and legal costs (calculated on a full indemnity basis) and all other reasonable professional costs and expenses) suffered or incurred by The Guild of Jewellery Designers arising out of or in connection with the members’ use of the mark.
