Tom Sachs is a contemporary sculptural artist who is best known for his modern interpretations of classic cultural icons.

His recent offering is a striking piece of men’s jewellery made from a size 2 Phillips head bit welded to a U.S. quarter.

Steeped in his trademark symbolism it is best described by Malcolm Gladwell:
"[The Quarter Screw] was capital (the quarter) fused to labour (the screwdriver) with (as always) capital at the head and labour getting the shaft. But that didn't change the fact that it was also a tool, an object designed - explicitly - for the manipulation of Phillips-head screws."
