ACID that won't burn your fingers!

ACID (Anti Copying in Design) is a membership organisation, committed to raising awareness about intellectual property theft within the creative industries and encouraging respect for intellectual property within corporate social responsibility. ACID can offer practical advice to help protect your jewellery designs as well as support should you discover that your work has been copied.

How good are your photographic skills? Jewellery is notoriously difficult to photograph well and yet so important if you are selling jewellery online. Potential customers can't see your actual jewellery - your photographs are the only thing they have to base their buying decision on, so good quality images are a must!

Fotonic are a company based in the West Midlands that specialises in producing high quality, accurate photographs of jewellery and they offer a service where jewellery can be securely posted to them from anywhere in the country, photographed and then sent back to you. Certainly a worthwhile investment, especially as Fotonic are offering preferential rates to GoJD Gold members - check their Supplier page on GoJD and their own website to see just how competatively priced they are.

Art Clay and PMC are clay-like materials made of fine silver powder or gold and water-soluble organic binders. During firing, the binders vaporise, the powder fuses, and the soft clay turns into real solid 999 silver.
Cooksongold are now offering discounts off the popular ranges of Art Clay and PMC to Gold members of The Guild of Jewellery Designers.

Bespoke Jewellers Benches aims to provide quality hand built jewellery benches that are functional, sturdy and durable at competitive prices. They offer a personalised service offering customers a chance to have a truly bespoke work station and are pleased to offer a discount to Gold members at GoJD.

Also underway are plans for the first Guild of Jewellery Designers jewellery exhibition. We are currently looking for a suitable venue in the Midlands for June 2012. The name chosen for the exhibition is based on the guild's sister site, 'Guilded Gems' and will be a business to consumer (B2C) event. No details are available for it yet but if you have plans to exhibit in June, this will be one to take part in. Stay tuned for further developments regarding this exciting development.

As you may know Guild Gold members will qualify for a 10% discount off guild exhibition space and PPL insurance will be a requirement for exhibiting with us and can be bought as part of your membership package.

Our latest supplier partner offers, teamed with the existing ones for tools, packaging, bullion manufacture, laser engraving, packaging, website design, business stationery, casting services, stones & beads and lampwork supplies makes Gold membership an even better deal for jewellers! Check out our full range of supplier partners and discounts and see just how much you would save with a Gold membership deal.
