‘Finding beauty in hidden places...’
Looking through a magnifying glass at the most ordinary of nooks and crannies, at the everyday and the unnoticed, Kath Libbert Jewellery Gallery at Salts Mill has found inspiration for a most extraordinary exhibition.

Traces: Rust, Dust & Belly Button Fluff brings together the work of ten new graduates who find beauty in things brushed aside, in intimate ephemeral moments, in smallness, in lost objects, in things that are hidden and secret; creating jewellery that is in turn delicate, dramatic and distinctive.

A team of steeplejacks has recently installed an extremely special weathervane on the top of Chichester Cathedral’s 277ft Spire. Newly gilded in Fairtrade and Fairmined Gold, this unique weathervane is the result of a pioneering collaboration between Chichester Cathedral, Chichester-based ethical jewellers Cred and the Fairtrade Foundation. When the gilded weathervane was positioned on top of the Cathedral Spire – it became the first time ever that Fairtrade and Fairmined Gold have been displayed on a public building.
