The GoJD competition to win a Smith's Little Torch has now drawn to an end and the time to announce the winner is here!
We wanted to see shots of your benches, the most personal and sacred places for jewellery makers and you obliged with characteristic generosity. We saw all sorts of set-ups: Victoria Jarman with a cheeky little message, a few four-legged workshop apprentices, a great many newly tidied workspaces and some shots that were really quite artful! So here they all are, the places that we live, in no particular order...scroll to the bottom to see the winning entry and mouse over images to see whose bench it is!
The winner is Roz Buehrlen with a bird's eye shot of her workbench. Roz's workbench was a labour of love, built with the help of her daughters and something that she loves and feels really proud of, a sentiment that I think we all share about our benches!
We loved the camera angle and the intimacy of her photo (and nice use of an old ashtray!)
Well done Roz, the Smith's Little Torch is making its way over to your workshop right now!
